Review: Morning Sunshine by Robin Meade

Robin Meade is the poster child for confidence and self-assurance. But the anchor of Morning Express with Robin Meade wasn't always that way. In fact, there was a period in her career when she was plagued with anxiety and panic attacks. In MORNING SUNSHINE, she tells how she overcame her fear of public speaking to go on and achieve her dream of becoming a news anchor.

Robin Meade offers her own tried-and-true four-step approach to building confidence. Her trademark warm, personal style translates from the screen to the page in this book, which will give readers even more insight into the young woman who came out of nowhere to become one of the most popular news anchors on television today.

Received from the publisher for review.

First of all, I should say that I had no idea who the author was before I picked up the book, which I think gave me a whole new perspective on her story.

The author was absolutely adorable. She's someone you'd actually want to know in real life because you can't help but like her. She reminds me of Heidi Klum - you want to hate her because she's so perfect, but you just can't because she's so darn nice!

I especially liked that the author was not just another child of rich parents with connections and actually had to work for her success. It was also refreshing to know that the author had actually written the book instead of getting a ghostwriter like so many celebrities. Kudos!

This one gets eight stars. It has a nice, feel good, friendly vibe to it that makes you feel as if you're sitting listening to one of your girlfriends. The chapters are a nice length, but not too brief. There is a lot of useful information from someone who has truly been there and done that and can genuinely speak from experience. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for an upbeat, positive read!
