Review: Fierce Style by Christian Siriano

In 2008, Christian Siriano made headlines as the youngest designer to win the hit reality series Project Runway. But the now twenty-three-year-old is bigger than a TV celebrity. From his prodigious fashion talent to his one-of-a-kind personality, Christian is the embodiment of fierce style.

Now in his first book, he helps readers discover how to look, feel, and act fierce in everyday life. With tips from some of fashion and Hollywood's biggest names -including Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, and Vanessa Williams — along with gorgeous original sketches by Christian, never-before-heard stories, and behind-the-scenes photos, he tells his journey of developing his own fashion sense and overcoming obstacles to success.

Giving advice on creating personal style, sharing tips on building self-confidence, and revealing his own list of fashion dos and don'ts, Christian shows how to use one's unique strengths to get ahead - and go from tickity-tack to totally flawless.

Received from the publisher for review.

First off, I must say that I was a big fan of Christian on the show and was so happy when he won!

The book was just adorable! It was fun and just so Christian! It also truly has great fashion tips for all budgets, which is a very pleasant surprise! It is packed with drawings, photos, and such that perfectly illustrate the text.

My favorite quotes from the book were:

You don't need a magazine to tell you what not to wear - just look at old pictures of yourself for a customized list of what does not work for you!

If you're afraid of taking chances you can't ever be fierce.

This one gets four stars. You can truly feel the author's love of fashion, and life in general, on each page. You'll laugh, you'll smile, you'll overdose on Christian-speak, but you'll absolutely enjoy ever last page of it! Obviously, this is highly recommended for Project Runway fans, but everyone who reads it can take away at least a few things to apply in her everyday life.

★★★★ = Really Liked It

His season was the last I had watched, mainly because I really didn't like him all that much. But the book sounds OK.
