Review: Lucifer Rising by Barbara Fifield

Can Elsa ever escape cult leader Tyrell, a reincarnation of the devil? What about him does she find so mesmerizing? Tyrell has lured women into his snare over many reincarnations. Will he succeed with Elsa? Or will she be able to break away from him?

Received from the publisher for review.

This was a slim book at just 83 pages. The short chapters of around four to five pages made for nice breaking points.

The cover reminded me of the Doctor Who episode The Impossible Planet, which was fun.

This one gets two stars. The book frankly left me rather confused. I felt major descriptives about locations and such were either quickly mentioned with no context provided or eliminated entirely. The story itself was okay, but not great. I just wasn't feeling it. The characters just did nothing for me either. I'm going to have to recommend a pass on this one.

☆☆= Didn't Like It

It's always a let down when the premise is promising but the execution ruins it.
