Review: Prime-Time Health by William Sears, MD

This was a massive book at 446 pages. The text was densely packed, but the sections were nicely portioned which made for convenient pausing points. The plethora of illustrations throughout helped to make the text more bearable although it still read like a textbook.

This one gets three stars. While it could be a bit of a snooze inducer, if taken in small doses it is tolerable. Frankly, I started yawning as soon as I cracked this one open. It really does need to be consumed slowly, like New York cheesecake. It does provide a wealth of information for those over 40, but is an extremely tedious read. It is a valuable resource and can be referred to repeatedly in the future.
