Review: The Tomato Soup Chronicles by Zephyr Goza

Told out of order, The Tomato Soup Chronicles follows the unfortunate Raymond Hayes in his transition from an office number cruncher at a job he hates to the target of a mysterious and poorly operated hit organization known only as Adventures, Inc.

Received from the author for review.

I found the nicely designed cover that actually resembled a soup can of sorts, with nutritional facts and an ingredient list, quite clever.

This one gets three stars. I didn't really connect with the story, but it was interesting in a very bizarre sort of way. The story felt very strange, and surreal almost. You are thrown right into the action from the very first page which could be disconcerting at times. The journal type format made for nice breaking points, so it was easy to take a short pause to reflect on the goings on.

★★☆☆ = Liked It
