Review: Oscar Lobster's Fair Exchange by George Selden

When people take too many shells and stones from Crescent Beach, a lobster and his underwater friends decide to retaliate.

From the library.

The description really does not do this justice.

This one gets three stars. It was a nice collection of adventures about a group of undersea friends (James the fish, Oscar the Lobster, Hector the Crab, and Peter the Starfish). The characters were cute, but not quite as good as Selden's others. The illustrations by Peter Lippman were good, but nothing spectacular. It would make a lovely summer read and is definitely recommended!

★★☆☆ = Liked It
