Review: The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone

While I'm a huge fan of Michael Pollan's common sense attitude to food I still love to read about other viewpoints. After I saw Oprah's show with both Michael Pollan and Alicia Silverstone I simply had to (literally) check out Alicia's book.

This had a great layout and was packed with tons of fascinating information. The author's enthusiasm really shines through and you genuinely feel her desire to share her story. The entire book is suffused with her sunny personality, friendliness, and joie de vivre.

This one gets four stars. I found it genuinely enlightening without being at all preachy. Anyone flirting with a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle should find his a valuable resource designed for real life.

I wouldn't have a problem going without meat, but dairy is a whole other story.
