Review: The Forks Over Knives Plan by Alona Pulde and Matthew Lederman

Having seen and enjoyed the Forks Over Knives film I was intrigued to come across a book based on the diet the film recommends and had to give it a try.

This is the perfect book for those looking into a plant based diet, whether vegetarian or vegan.  All the recipes are actually ones that you can serve to omnivores as well, although it is best to confirm that there are no allergies since they tend to include non-traditional ingredients such as chia seeds, spelt flour, and dates (lots and lots of dates).

The plan is quite doable and very well laid out.  There are no bizarre rules to follow and the diet is actually one that is easy to ease into without feeling deprived or overwhelmed.

Whether you incorporate the entire program into your life or just a few recipes it's an interesting read that will make you think differently about the food you put into your body.  I certainly recommend it.
